The seat is paper rope woven tight across a rubber wood frame — a texture and a give that a solid wood seat cannot match, and the reason these look at home on a porch as well as at a kitchen island. Double cross bars run between the legs for rigidity, anti-slip pads protect the floor, and the pair carries 330 pounds at 15.5 pounds total. Keep them out of the rain when used outdoors.
