Nine and a half inches deep, which is what makes this workable in an apartment hallway where anything deeper turns a walkway into a squeeze. Two flip drawers give quick retrieval without sliding clearance. A 4.7-inch gap at the bottom hides the slippers in daily use, and a 2-inch raised edge keeps the top shelf from shedding keys.
