Ten separate bays mean a collection can finally be sorted by category rather than stacked by whatever fits, and the light natural grain keeps a 71-in tower from darkening a small room. Most openings run 9 in square at 7.5 in of height, the natural fit for paperbacks stood spine out, while a wider middle compartment handles binders and oversized art books. A guard rail runs along the shelf fronts, which matters most on the upper bays that get loaded blind. The frame is rated to 205 lbs and includes two anti-tip devices.
