Benches instead of chairs seat more people in the same length and slide entirely under the table when the patio is being swept - the reason picnic sets outlast dining sets in a family garden. Each bench measures 48 x 14 x 18 in and carries 800 lbs, against 165 lbs on the 63 x 32 in table at 30 in high. Solid acacia throughout gives a warm grain and a splinter-free surface. The set weighs 67 lbs in one carton with two instruction sheets. Periodic oiling keeps the color from graying.
