Sitting on the floor stops being a compromise once the backrest locks at one of 5 angles, from upright for a controller session to laid back for a film. The base turns a full 360 degrees, so you can face a screen, then a friend, without standing up. Elastic sponge fills the seat and back, and artificial leather over the padding wipes clean after snacks. Metal pipes inside carry 330 lbs. Unfolded the chair measures 23.5 by 22 by 30.5 inches, low enough to sit under a loft bed or in front of a coffee table, and it folds down afterward so a dorm room or media corner gets its floor back. It arrives ready to use with no assembly needed.
