Lift the padded lid and this 39.5-in rattan bench turns into a 19-gallon chest, deep enough to swallow boots, blankets, or sports gear that has no other home. Safety hinges hold the top steady on the way down rather than letting it slam, and a cut-out handle opens it one-handed. The seat carries up to 440 lbs on a wooden frame, while the compartment inside takes another 90 lbs of gear. Metal legs lift the chest 5-in off the floor for the vacuum head, anti-slip pads keep it planted, and the 38-in cushion cover unhooks for a run through the wash.
