Made entirely of bamboo, this lap desk weighs 4.5 lbs and folds flat to 21 by 13 by 2 inches, so it slides beside a sofa or into a car trunk. In use the top spans 23 to 24.5 inches wide by 13 inches deep and the legs set the height anywhere from 9 to 11.5 inches. The tabletop tilts to four positions, 45, 39, 30 or 19 degrees, for typing, reading or sketching, and two cut-out ventilation holes let a laptop breathe. Each tabletop section is rated for 22 lbs. Rounded, splinter-free edges make it comfortable on bare arms during a breakfast in bed or an evening of reading on the floor. A single desk and an instruction sheet come in the box; light assembly is required.
