Acacia grain and a curved retro headboard set this full platform bed apart from the flat panel frames that fill the category. Twelve plywood slats plus three center legs with threaded foot pads carry 800-lb and level the deck on carpet or a warped floor. A recessed platform edge locks the mattress in position, and the deck takes anything from a 4-in futon-style pad to a 12-in hybrid without a box spring. Under the rails, 8.5-in of clearance lets a robot cleaner pass end to end.
