The egg-shaped shell curves around the back, hips and legs at once, so the sitter settles into the chair instead of perching on it. A 6.5 in cushion takes the pressure off a long afternoon and stays anchored on fixing straps rather than sliding out when someone stands up. Built-in stoppers limit the rocking arc so the chair will not tip backward, and non-slip pads keep the base planted on a smooth deck. Hand-woven crack-resistant PE rattan wraps a metal frame rated to 400 lb, and the breathable sun-resistant cover stays comfortable in direct light. The chair weighs 26 lb in all.
