Universal wheels at all 4 corners carry this desk from a bedroom to a living room without unplugging anything, and it settles wherever a laptop is needed next. A knob locks the movable panel anywhere between 27 and 38.5 inches, keeping the top level at both seated and standing positions, with the upper limit high enough for a short presentation. The 22 by 21 inch footprint stays out of the way in a rental or shared room, while the bottom shelf takes a tower, printer or router so the surface stays clear. A footrest bar sits at the base for standing stretches. White MDF panels on a metal frame wipe down easily, and the 20.5 lb build rolls with one hand.
