Navy paint over enhanced carbon steel gives this scooter a frame rated to 165 pounds, which puts teenagers and adults on it as well as children from eight years old. Handlebar height slides between 33 and 35 inches, so the same scooter fits a rider through several growth spurts. Two 12 inch pneumatic rubber wheels take the sting out of brick paths and cracked sidewalks, and the tread pattern is built for wear rather than speed. Braking is split between two V-type levers, the left controlling the front wheel and the right the rear, which lets a rider slow gently rather than skidding. The deck measures 14 by 5 inches. Overall the scooter runs 47 inches long, 22.5 inches wide and up to 35 inches tall at 18 pounds.
