Thin is the point here. At 0.16 inch, these wood-texture tiles slip under a desk chair or beside a bed without creating a lip to trip on, and the 8-piece set covers roughly 21 square feet or about 6.5 by 3.2 feet. EVA foam takes the scratches and dents that furniture legs would otherwise leave in a hardwood or laminate floor, and the pale wood print blends with existing decor instead of announcing itself. Tiles interlock along puzzle edges and can be trimmed with scissors to meet a wall or work around a doorway. Waterproof foam means spills wipe up rather than soak in, and the 2-pound set lifts, stacks and stores in seconds when the floor needs to go back to bare.
