An 11 x 9 ft rectangular canopy covers a long table more efficiently than a round one of the same area, because the shade follows the shape of what is underneath. Six tilt positions and a foot-pedal 360-degree rotation between them cover the sun's movement through a day. Rim height is 7.2 ft on a frame standing 9 ft, built from aluminum, metal, PC and ABS at 45 lbs. The 40-in cross base must be weighted before the canopy is opened. Navy fabric cuts glare on a west-facing terrace.
