Corrugated galvanized panels form the walls of this 6 by 3 foot bed, and the ridges are what keep a thin steel sheet from flexing once wet soil pushes against it. The 1-foot depth suits most vegetables and herbs, and the open base lets roots pass into the native ground while rain drains away rather than pooling. Reinforced crossbars span the middle to hold the sides parallel under load. Thick corner brackets cover the panel joints and take away the sharp edges you would otherwise brush against while weeding. The galvanized finish resists rust through wet seasons, and the wall height reduces the bending needed to tend the bed. The complete frame weighs 14.5 pounds and assembles from pre-drilled panels with the included screws.
