Paper rope wound across the frame forms the seating surface on this pair, and the weave is what does the work: it breathes, it gives slightly under weight, and it carries a 330-lb rating without any padding to flatten over time. The rest is high-grade rubber wood, sanded burr-free and left in its natural tone so the grain reads against the woven texture. The footprint is rectangular at 22 x 14 in rather than square, which lets two sit neatly side by side along a wall or under a console. Height is 18 in and the pair weighs 16 lbs, so they double as occasional seating in a hallway or beside a bed.
