Wooden sleds on steel runners are still the fastest thing on a packed hill, and they last decades longer than a plastic toboggan. A steering bar at the front lets the rider point it rather than hoping. Pre-drilled holes take a pull rope, though the rope itself is not in the box and has to be supplied separately.
