Eighty gallons is the point at which a deck box stops being a supplementary container and starts replacing a small shed. The interior measures 43 by 20 by 21 in, long enough to lay down a set of tools that will not fit anywhere else, deep enough for a full set of seat cushions, and roomy enough that pool floats, parcels and garden equipment can share it without anyone having to unpack the whole box to reach the bottom. All-weather Hdpe forms the shell, and a reinforced honeycomb structure runs through it, which is what keeps a box this long from bowing outward when it is packed full. The same construction lets the lid carry 330 lbs, so it works as extra seating the moment more guests arrive than there are chairs. A wood-look texture across the surface keeps it looking like a chosen piece of patio furniture rather than a utility bin parked at the edge of the deck. The gas strut on the lid is the feature you appreciate daily. It takes the weight.
