The problem with giving a child their own armchair is everything they want to bring to it. This recliner answers that directly: a cup holder in the arm for the drink, and two side pockets deep enough for a couple of books and a handful of small toys. What they carry over stays with the chair instead of migrating across the floor, which is a quieter benefit than it sounds. Sitting, it measures 24 x 20.5 x 30 in leaned back with the retractable footrest out, it opens to 34.5 in so a child can genuinely lie down rather than half-slump. The push-back action needs no lever, so there is nothing to explain. Chenille fabric gives it a soft, slightly textured surface that feels good against skin, and thick sponge padding underneath keeps the seat comfortable long after the first month. The frame combines solid wood with metal and carries up to 150 lbs, which is well past what a child aged 3 and up will ask of it. Assembly is hassle-free and needs no tools.
