Doubling the top perch is what sets this 19 by 19 by 44 inch tower apart, since two 11.5 inch platforms at the summit let two cats sit at the same height instead of one displacing the other. A 12 by 12 by 10 inch condo sits below for a cat that wants cover, giving the tower open and enclosed options within a compact square base. The scratching arrangement pairs two upright posts with a ramp that doubles as a climbing surface, so a cat can walk up the fiber rather than jumping, which suits kittens and older animals. Sponge padding under plush fabric lines the resting spots for warmth on cold floors. Each layer carries up to 22 lbs, the assembled tower weighs 20.5 lbs, and its narrow footprint fits beside a bed, a sofa or a window in a small apartment. Assembly is required, and the tower stands 44 inches at the upper perches. The condo sits at mid height with the ramp leading to it.
