Shaped like a mushroom cap, the top perch of this 30 by 20 by 56 inch cat tree gives a cat a curved lookout that holds its shape better than a flat plush disc. Below it sits a 19.5 by 16 by 12.5 inch condo lined with peach skin polyester, dark enough for a nervous cat to disappear into during a busy afternoon. Solid plywood forms the platforms and each tier carries up to 33 lbs, so a large adult cat can land hard without the structure flexing. A sisal carpet ladder bridges the lower levels, giving older or heavier cats a gradual climb instead of a vertical leap, and sisal wrapped posts absorb the claw work that would otherwise land on a sofa arm. An interactive dangling toy hangs at pouncing height. The assembled tree weighs 52.5 lbs on a wide base, which keeps it planted on carpet or hardwood in a living room, bedroom or sunroom corner.
