Riding low in a car seat leaves a small dog staring at upholstery, so this 21 by 20 by 18 inch booster lifts a pet toward window level where the view outside settles restless travelers. Inside sits a 17 by 16.5 by 5.5 inch orthopedic egg crate foam cushion that spreads weight evenly and absorbs road vibration during a long drive. Four features work together to hold the seat in place: an adjustable safety leash that clips to a harness, a headrest strap, a seatbelt channel through the body and a non-slip bottom panel. The frame detaches for cleaning or flat storage when the car is needed for passengers, and it installs on either a front or a rear seat. Polyester webbing over sponge and an ultra-soft short plush lining bring the total weight to 3.5 lbs, light enough to carry between vehicles with one hand.
