This weatherproof outdoor cat shelter gives feral and backyard cats a warm, protected retreat through every season. Constructed from solid cedar wood, the box-cabinet frame resists cracking and warping even under repeated exposure to rain, wind, and sun. Six-sided foam insulation lines the walls, roof, and floor for cold and heat protection, while a waterproof asphalt sloped roof with asphalt eaves and elevated feet keep the interior dry and off wet ground. Measuring 24 inches long by 20 inches wide by 21 inches high and weighing 20.5 pounds, the single-layer house comfortably holds one to two cats and also works for rabbits and guinea pigs. A removable thickened Pvc door flap can be taken off for summer airflow or left on for winter warmth and rain protection. The open roof lifts up and the bottom panel detaches for quick cleaning and maintenance. Wipe the surfaces clean and check hardware periodically to keep the shelter in good condition.
